SERVICES

THERAPY:

Dr. Fitzsimmons provides virtual psychological treatment services to clients with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, mood, emotion regulation and adolescent issues. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based methods. She draws on cognitive-behavioural interventions, integrating elements of motivational, client-centred and solution-focused modalities, tailoring her approach to meet individuals’ needs. She also provides parent counselling to assist parents in supporting their children’s social, emotional and behavioural wellbeing. Dr. Fitzsimmons fosters a supportive, collaborative environment, making clients feel understood, respected and empowered.

ASSESSMENT:

Dr. Fitzsimmons offers psycho-educational assessment services to children and adolescents, to evaluate learning, attention, memory and executive functioning, as well as potential behavioural and mental health needs. Psycho-educational assessment can help parents and schools to better understand a child’s learning and behaviour, can determine if a child meets diagnostic criteria for a condition such as a learning disability, ADHD or an intellectual developmental disorder, and provides recommendations for the home and school environment.

Dr. Fitzsimmons also offers psycho-educational assessments to students attending French school, or enrolled in the French Immersion program.

All clients will be provided with a complimentary 10-minute telephone consultation to discuss whether the reason for referral falls within Dr. Fitzsimmons' scope of practice, and to address questions and concerns.
